Interior flooring

You don’t change your flooring every day, so it’s important to give it careful thought! Each room is different and has different requirements.

Our advice: Don’t forget to order your Belgian Blue Stone skirting boards. They create a smooth transition between your floor and the bottom of the wall, protecting it from damp and impacts. Matched to your flooring, they are the final touch in your choice of finish.

Entrance hall

Recommended finishes: Natura Blue, Sabbiato Grey and Flamed

The entrance hall is always subjected to heavy traffic, so these finishes will have a much greater resistance to scratches (high heels, suitcases, door that opens and closes, etc.). But don’t panic! Don’t live in fear of scratches, as each micro-scratch gives Belgian Blue Stone its patina and charm.

Our advice: Beyond its functional aspect, your entrance is also the room that gives your visitors the first impression and leaves them with the last impression. You only have a few seconds to reflect the personality of your home. If you really want to make a big impression, forget dark colours and go for lighter finishes. This will give the appearance of a large entrance.

Kitchen

Recommended finishes: Conception, Patinato and “Soignies Noir”

Buzzing with activity from morning to night, your kitchen must always be clean, livable and easy to care for. We recommend a brushed finish that will be much more resistant against acid attacks (lemon, coke, wine, vinegar, etc.) and everyday wear and tear. Grease residues will be easier to clean.

Our advice: A perfect match for many materials (wood, glass, concrete, etc.), Belgian Blue Stone can be naturally combined with all styles of kitchen: rustic, design, vintage, contemporary, etc.

Bathroom

Recommended finishes: Conception, Patinato and “Soignies Noir”

We recommend a brushed finish that will be much more resistant against acid attacks and everyday wear and tear. Grease residues will be easier to clean. Since blue stone is a limestone, avoid any descaling or acidic product.

Our advice: Do you have a small bathroom? Choose small formats that will make your room appear larger.

Living rooms and bedrooms

Recommended finishes: all finishes suitable for indoor use

All our interior finishes are suitable for these types of rooms. Your interior design reflects your preferences and tastes, from the balance of a Honed finish to the personality of a Conception slab that reveals a glimpse of its generous natural stone nature.

Our advice: The size of your tiles and the laying style will be important to highlight the volume of your room. If it is small and you choose rectangular tiles, always lay them lengthwise to accentuate the length of the room.

Indoor staircase

Recommended finishes (light shade): Natura Blue, Sabbiato Grey and Flamed

Recommended finishes (dark shade): Black Honed, Patinato and Conception

The finishes with lighter shades are naturally less slippery. However, if you prefer a darker finish, you can always opt for anti-slip strips that are elegantly chiselled into the stone.

Our advice: A solid Belgian Blue Stone staircase will become a decorative element in your home in its own right. What else do you need!

Recommended finishes: Conception, Patinato, Honed, Sawn and Natura

We recommend a brushed finish (Conception and Patinato) which will be much more resistant against acid attacks (lemon, coca, wine, vinegar, etc.) and against everyday wear and tear. Grease residues will be easier to clean. Other finishes (Black or Blue Honed, Sawn, Natura Blue, etc.) may also be suitable but we advise you to treat them.

Our advice: To give character to your kitchen, why not order a sink cut out of a single block and complete the look with a beautiful Belgian Blue Stone backsplash. Your walls will be perfectly protected!

Recommended finishes: Conception, Patinato, Honed, Sawn and Natura

We recommend a brushed finish (Conception and Patinato). Other finishes (Black or Blue Honed, Sawn, Natura Blue, etc.) may also be suitable but we advise you to treat them. Since blue stone is a limestone, avoid any descaling or acidic product.

Our advice: The walls of your shower can be covered with one slab, without joints, which makes cleaning and hygiene easier and reduces the risk of leaks. This work can be carried out to measure by a stonemason.
